Date: September 22, 2013Liturgical Day: The Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost

disturbing story a dishonest manager be "shrewd" as the world

Summary: In a rather disturbing parable, Jesus calls us to be shrewd, as we share God's gifts with the world. If we understand the word "shrewd" to mean someone who "has or shows an ability to understand things and to make good judgments;” and someone who is, “mentally sharp or clever" (Meriam-Webster), this comes to us as a significant challenge. How does it shape our attempts to present Christ to the world?
